Let's get together

Writing in solitude has it's time and place, but so does spending time together workshopping projects, creating content, and convincing one another not to walk into the sea with stones in our pockets.

Which will be tricky considering we'll be a block from it.

Where: The Squibb House, Cambria CA

Cost: $750 + travel

What are we doing

Mostly, we're writing and spending time together, bouncing ideas off one another, and working in whatever manner suits you.

But we're also going to:

  • Film content + update headshots with a professional team
  • Enjoy slow mornings and cozy evenings
  • Sign some books at our pop up at Salty Pages
  • Look at the year ahead and plan some big moves

What does my $750 cover?

Your $750 will cover your private room and bathroom at Squibb House for three nights, all of your meals, and the booking fee for our professional content team to refresh your headshot and get you high-res b-roll and interview footage to use for your social media however you see fit.

Emrae will also cover transportation to and from the SLO airport on arrival and departure days, as well as to all other events.

You'll be responsible for your own travel expenses.

What should I pack?

This retreat is truly that—think coastal grandma. Leggings, cardigans, hoodies, etc.

For Content Day, think signing event mode. We want you to feel like you, but we'll also want you to feel your best, whatever that means for you.

Bring your laptop and all your fave writing accessories, but Emrae will provide copies of all books for content and our pop up, so don't worry about trying to travel with 30 pounds of books.

What are we eating?

Very important question.

Bruce at The Squibb House has gracefully planned breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks and wine for us each day.

Emrae will be hosting family style dinners each evening around Cambria. Please make sure to note any dietary restrictions in your registration form.

How does payment work?

We're asking for half to reserve your spot, and half by January 15th, 2027.

If you'd prefer, we can take the cost our of your royalties. Just let Shelly know!

Once you've confirmed you're in, you'll receive a registration link so we can make sure we have everything you need!
